Spatial Needs Studies/Analysis
The Center for Public Safety(CPS) provides spatial needs studies and there are four different levels for this type of analysis. In addition, for clients seeking a new facility, we provide site evaluation and review services. Our services include;

- Site Review and Evaluation
- Grant/Funding Identification
Upon receiving the notification to proceed from the client, a determination is made as to the level of analysis necessary to meet our client's needs. A questionnaire is then provided to the client that seeks the following information;
- An organizational chart/identification of staffing
- Departmental functions
- Relationships with other departments
- Desired or needed spaces
- The need for individual offices
- Joint-use spaces
- Proximity to equipment
- Specialized equiment needs
- Unique or specialized services
- Historic and current departmental budgets
The next phase involves a more in-depth information gathering process. Members of CPS will meet with Departmental Staff to obtain additional information specific to their spatial and functional requirements.
Evaluation of Existing Facilities or Potential Site Evaluations
CPS, in conjuction with architectural staff from Architects Design Group, Inc. will inspect the existing facility and evaluate the functional aspects of the building or buildings. A detailed facility review may include the following;
- A tour of the existing facility and site
- Photographic documentation including major systems and equipment
- An evaluation of the general condition of the structure, limited to a preliminary assessment of the structure(s)
- A detailed building and space analysis and evaluation report.
